    Tibs Pizza

garlic / butter / onions / jalapeños / marinated beef / crushed tomatoes / berbere spice blend / ghee / par-baked crust / Wisconsin brick cheese / red onions / tomato sauce

The Tibs pizza offers a combination of rich and savory flavors from the marinated beef, the spiciness of jalapeños, the depth of berbere spice, and the creaminess of Wisconsin brick cheese. It has a unique fusion of Midwestern and Ethiopian flavors, creating a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.

Seth Tillman heads to Motown Square, a pizzeria in Washington, D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood, to explore the creation of the tibs pizza, a fusion of Ethiopian and traditional flavors. The Detroit-style pizza is assembled with cheese, onions and tomato sauce but what sets it apart is a spicy Ethiopian tibs mixture with garlic, butter, onions, jalapeños, marinated beef, tomatoes and berbere spice.

We particularly enjoy the tibs pizza, topped with succulent beef tibs and jalapeños. It's such a great pizza — I daresay the best single pie offered in D.C.
